Have the Project 2 Goal Ready to Demonstrate next Monday. There will be an in-class challenge to complete on that day. Be prompt.

1. Predicate Logic Slides are up On-line

I'm surprised no-one has asked about this yet!  But the Lecture Slides are up on-line.

2. Move the Homework 3 Due Date to Thursday

Since we have a lab on Monday, and I would like you to have extra time to work on the Predicate Logic and have a chance to meet me for office hours on Monday, I will expect the homework due on Thursday this week.

Midterm Review is on Thursday for our Monday Midterm. For the Thursday following the Midterm please read "What is Knowledge Representation?" and prepare to discuss and give examples for the Role of Knowledge Representation that was assigned to you (see table below). If you are not in town on the Thursday before Spring Break, then you need to prepare a 1 page discussion and examples for your Role (which will be turned in with HW 3).

HW1 is extended to Wednesday 11:59 pm (since more than half the class turned in the assignment). HW2's deadline is moved up a day (due on Saturday March 24th 11:59pm) so that you have at least a day to study for the Midterm if you are working to the last minute. If you already turned the homework in, you have a chance to work on it more.

HW2 is posted and due in two weeks. Thursday we will have a Project1 work day - if are using a laptop bring one, otherwise we have some Mac Laptops that we can use.

Please read Brooks 91 ("Intelligence without Representation") to follow-up on Subsumption architecture (Brooks 97 is "10 years later" and describes more recent work and is also a good read)
