Over the course of the term I will teach you:
Here's some quotes from past students
"I must say that I've learned more in this class than in any other
class I've taken in Brooklyn College"
"I would apply what I have learned from this course and use these skills
when I start professional web site design"
If you'd like to learn more about web design take a look at:
Web Wizard's Guide to Web Design: James G. Lengel
I will likely discuss in class some topics from this book. However this book
is not required.
Many exam questions will be covered from Learning Web Design. You will need this book. As for Flash & Javascript, if you like another book that is fine. However you will to use some reference material to help you with your lab assignments. You will need to study learn how to do Javascript and Flash to also help with exams as topics and code will be needed on the final.
If Brooklyn College charges list (and they usually do), look at some online sites. If you get it from an online store you'll save something (but pay shipping usually) Check with buying books direct from the publisher. You may be able to get an educational price. Know lots of friends in the class? Get together and place an order from the publisher and get a quantity discount. Sometimes as much as 50% off list if the publisher's nice.
If you want to save 10% (on most of them, if not all) you can buy them at Shakespeare and Co.(limited stock) off of Campus and Hillel (near McDonalds).
