You will need 2 different USB 3.0 drives for this class. 

Make sure your drives are USB 3.0, as the speed of a USB 2.0 is way to slow.

Follow steps 1 to 3 of this guide by 2/9, to create a bootable USB.  Prepare this before class.

If you like, try step 4 to boot from the USB and select to Try Ubuntu.

We will do the actual installation in class.

If you have a laptop, you can use VirtualBox and do away with the USBs if you prefer. This will setup a virtual machine within your computer. Or if you like, you can actually install from the ISO image inside a virutal machine to a real USB and then boot from the USB afterwards. I can explain this in the lab, if you are curious.
