The Prize Exams of Spring 2013

The Junior and Senior Prize Exams at Brooklyn College are given early every spring. Each exam traditionally contains seven problems, but there may be an overlap between the problems on these exams. The students are given three hours to solve as many problems as they can, but they are not usually expected to solve all problems on the exams.

The problems of the Junior and Senior Prize exams for the years 2003--2017 can be viewed in this directory in PDF form as files junior.pdf and senior.pdf. All problems with their solutions and their sources can be viewed by as the file all.pdf, except in those years where only one exam was given, when the solutions may instead be given in the file junior_sol.pdf or senior_sol.pdf. In the year 2005, the Senior Prize Exam was not given, and in the years 2012 and 2013 the Junior Prize Exam was not given. The 2013 Senior Prize exam was given on February 25, 2013. A description of how these PDF files were produced, as well as some issues concerning producing PDF output from TeX files, are discussed here.
