The Kaf and the shovel remained in the Kodesh Hakodoshim while the Kohain Gadol finished the Avodah of the bull and the goats (the first set of Avodas P'nim) and the second set of Avodas Chutz. This involved:

1) Avodas Chutz
2) Avodas Pnim
3) Avodas Chutz
4) Avodas Pnim
5) Avodas Chutz

  1. sprinkling the bull's blood in the Kodesh Hakodoshim
  2. Shechitah of the goat
  3. sprinkling the goat's blood in the Kodesh Hakodoshim
  4. sprinkling the bull's blood on the Paroches
  5. sprinkling the goat's blood on the Paroches
  6. mixing the blood, putting it on the corners of the inner Mizbayach, and sprinkling it on top
  7. Viduy on the goat for Azazel
  8. sending the goat to Azazel
  9. removing the Aymurim (parts to be burned on the Mizbayach) of the bull and the goat
  10. sending the bull and the goat to be burned outside Yerushalayim
  11. reading the Torah
Second set of Avodas Chutz:
  1. bringing the Kohain Gadol's ram as a Korban Olah
  2. bringing the people's ram as a Korban Olah
  3. bringing some of the Korban Mussaf
  4. bringing the Aymurim (parts to be burned) of the bull and the goat on the Mizbayach
After all this, the Kohain Gadol changed back to linen garments and removed the Kaf and shovel from the Kodesh Hakodoshim. This was the second set of Avodas P'nim and the second time that the Kohain Gadol wore only linen garments.
