Haichal - Near the western end of the Azarah was the Haichal, which in the second Bais Hamikdash was 200 Amos tall. It consisted of 3 sections. The first section, called the Ulam, was the entranceway. The middle section, called the Kodesh, contained the Mizbayach Hazahav (golden alter), the Menorah and the Shulchan. The third section is the Kodesh Hakodoshim. It housed the Aron.
