Assessment

Your course grade will be made up of the following components, out of 100 points:

Pop quiz -- (5 points)
4 homework assignments -- (20 points total)
two exams -- (50 points total):
- midterm exam (20 points)
- final exam (30 points)
project (25 points)

The exam dates are:

Wednesday 30th October (midterm)
Wednesday 18th December(final exam)

Any of the work can be submitted for a regrade, but it will not be possible to revise and resubmit work.

Instead, there will be a makeup project which you can do if you wish. If you do the makeup project you can either use the mark to replace your mark for the project, or to raise your overall mark for all the homeworks.

Thus if you do badly on the homeworks or the project, you can catch up marks by doing the makeup project.
