Final

The final for this course will be a take-home final.

The final has one question on it. You need to write between 1500 and 2000 words in answer to the following question:

In class, we discussed fix aspects of robotics: Pick two of these aspects, and explain either:
  1. The impact that these two aspects are likely to have on building and programming robots to play soccer; or
  2. The impact that these two aspects are likely to have on building and programming robots to carry out search and rescue operations in damaged buildings.
Examples of things to focus on are, how particular kinds of robot locomotion make playing soccer easy or difficult, and what kind of restrictions does a search and rescue environment place on robot perception.

Submit your final by email to Prof. Parsons, as a PDF if possible.

Submission date

As we agreed in class, the submission date for the final is 31st December (midnight).

This date us very close to the date by which marks have to be submitted.

If you are late submitting your final, it will not be possible to get your report marked before the grades for the course are submitted, and you will initially be given an incomplete. This will be resolved as soon as possible after you submit your final.
