I got approval for the makeup exercise that replaces the class we missed because of Post-Tropical Storm Sandy. You can download it from the syllabus page.

The exercise should be handed in at the final. But don't wait until just before the final to work on it.

I posted last project (Project 2). It is on the projects page.

This is also due on December 19th, but should be handed in through the submission site.

11/09/12

Because of the hurrication on October 31st, the college has decided that we should have a makeup class on Friday December 16th.

However, since this would cause problems for some students' religious observance, I will be assigning you an alternative activity.

I have posted nodes from this week's class and there is a new homework up.

11/08/12

The submission site is back up, please submit your project.

The modified submission date is midnight on Friday 9th November.

11/07/12

A switch has failed in the Brooklyn College network making it impossible to connect to the submission site.

ITS is working to resolve the problem.

The network should be up again tomorrow, and you should submit your work then.

10/17/12

HW4 is marked out of 90, not out of 100 as it says on the homeworks that I returned.

Question 1 was worth 50 points (10 for each part), question 2 was worth 20 points (5 for each correct labelling), and question 3 was worth 20, 10 for part (a) and 10 for part (b).

10/09/12

You can find the code on the projects page.

I posted the latest homework (the third) on the homework page.

BTW, I found a flaw in the Romania example from last week. It turns out that both Timosara and Sibiu have airports (there are flights to both of them from Vienna), so the obvious solution to the travel problem is to switch your flight and go via one of those places.

09/05/12
