Conference Housing

Housing for the conference will be at the new Donald F. and Mildred Topp Othmer Residence Hall at Brooklyn Polytechnic University. The Residence Hall is located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn situated at the foot of the famous Brooklyn Bridge, just across lower Manhattan. Brooklyn College Campus, where the conference will take place, is easily accessible to the Othmer Residence Hall via public transportation (subway or bus). Othmer Residence Hall provides air-conditioned suites at affordable rates. Suites have two completely separate rooms and a private bathroom. That is, two rooms share one bathroom. Each room in a suite can be reserved either as single or double. All accommodations are furnished with twin-sized beds, dressers, desks, chairs and closets. Linens, pillows, etc. are already included in the rates. All rooms are fully wired for computers, laptops. Laundry service and nearby parking facilities are all available for additional costs.

Daily rates for the conference have been established as follows (minimum stay is three nights):

Guests must pay for the full stay the day they check in. Payment can be made by the following: cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Travelers checks. No personal checks will be accepted. Also, when you check in you will be required to pay a 50-dollar security deposit. The deposit will be returned to you when you check out (provided you do not break anything in the room during your stay).

Also, if you are planning to attend the summer conference in Washington and are willing to stay in New York between the two conferences, it is possible to request a room for extended periods.

The Deadline to request a room is May 20. After the deadline the rooms are not guaranteed.
