• if you send me email, please send it from your columbia account!!
  mail sent from hotmail, yahoo and other types of free mail addresses may be automatically filtered out in attempt to eliminate spam and other offensive messages.

• i get many messages every day, so keep your message short and to the point. if your story goes on longer than a page (80 colums by 24 rows of text), then be aware that i probably won't read much past the first page.

• don't ever mail me code, under any circumstances. it will be deleted automatically.

• don't ever mail me an application, a class file or a word document, under any circumstances. it will be deleted automatically.

• if i haven't replied to you, please be patient. sending me multiple copies of the same message (or multiple messages that say the same thing) only clogs my inbox, which takes me longer to get to your message...

• send me mail to my cs address: sklar@cs.columbia.edu
  you don't need to cc it to eis2003@columbia.edu, since that will only get forwarded to my cs address and result in me getting two copies of your message (see above...)
