course description:
This is a seminar course that will cover current state-of-the-art research topics in the overlapping fields of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The course will involve weekly readings, presentations and a term research project. For the project, students will research an area of robotics, write a 5-10 page paper and give a 10-minute presentation in the last class.

This course satisfies the Computer Science curricular requirement of a Seminar (1 credit).

prerequisites:
Though not required, an introductory course in Artificial Intelligence and an introductory course in Robotics would be helpful. However, necessary fundamental background in these topics will be provided as additional reading for students who have not taken either of these courses.
