late assignment policy

1. All assignments must be submitted electronically, by email on the due date, no later than 6am.
   

2. Without an electronic copy, you will not receive a grade for the assignment.

3. Submission time is recorded as the timestamp on your submission email.

4. The following PENALTY applies to assignments that are submitted after the due date:
   

   submitted late by more than	but less than or equal to	penalty
   2 days	3 days	10%
   3 days	5 days	25%
   5 days	7 days	50%
   7 days	10 days**	75%

   **After 10 days late, I won't accept it any more.

   This means that if you hand in a 15-point assignment 2 days late, then you will lose 10% of the marked assignment.
   So if you get a 15 out of 15 for the work on the assignment, you will receive 15 - 1.5 = 13.5 points.
   If you receive 14 out of 15 for the work on the assignment, you will receive 14 - 1.4 = 12.6 points.
   And so on.

Exceptions and Extensions are possible, primarily based on documented medical emergencies. You must consult me via email on an individual basis, and suitable arrangements will be made.
