Final Exam: Thursday, December 23, 10:30 AM-12:30 AM

The final exam is cumulative. It covers chapters 1.1-1.8, 2.7,
3.1-3.4, 4.1-4.3, 5.1, 7.1, 7.3, 7.5, 8.1-8.2, 10.1-10.3
Our second exam is on Thursday, November 18, at 10:50 in Rm 234 NE. The exam will cover the following:
Relations: Chapter 7, Sections 7.1, 7.3, 7.5
Combinations and Permutations: Chapter 4, Sections 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5
Probability: Chapter 5, Section 5.1
Functions: Section 1.8
If you have any excercises that you would like to see solved in class as a review, you may email them to me and I will solve them in class.
Next Tuesday, Novmber 16th, we meet as regular, it is a Thursday schedule.

Grading
Exam I: 30%
Exam II: 30%
Final Exam: 40%
There will be NO MAKEUP EXAMINATIONS.
The best (and only) way to prepare for the exams is to work through the solved examples and problems at the end of each section in the book continuously throughout the semester. The Student Solutions Guide has detailed solutions to all the odd-numbered problems.
Dates
Classes are cancelled on: September 6, 16, and also on September 30th, October 7th, and October 11th, November 25. Tuesday, November 16th is a conversion day to Thursday. There will be one makeup class, date TBA, which will be a review before the first exam.
