The subject must be: CISC 1050: YourLastName, FirstName, HMWK# (the # in HMWK# should be replaced by the appropriate number) Since homeworks are emailed, absence is not an excuse, and LATE homeworks will NOT be accepted.
Microsoft ACCESS Homework Assignments
Assignment #1:
Due: Wednesday, November 24.
Lab 2: "Creating the Hockey Fan Zone Database" (all parts)
Pages AC 68 - AC 69.
Instructions: You are to create TWO tables, an Item Table and a Supplier Table.
The item table should have the supplier code as its last field. The supplier table
should have 3 fields, and it contains only 3 records. The primary key in the supplier table
is the supplier code.
NOTE: the following 2 assignments will build upon this assignment.
DO NOT erase this database!
Assignment #2:
Due: Wednesday, December 1.
Lab 2: "Querying the Hockey Fan Zone Database" (all parts)
Pages AC 132 - AC 133.
Be sure to number or label the queries as they are numbered
in the textbook.
You will email the database to me once again.

Microsoft WORD Homework Assignments
Homework 3: Due: Monday, October 4.
Create a resume for yourself using one of Word's resume templates. (You may use fictional information, but I
should not be able to tell.) Type a cover letter, assuming that you are applying for a job that you are
interested in obtaining.
Your cover letter should have a professional looking letter head.
Also, include a table in the cover letter. Be sure to set tabs as done in class.
Save these documents -- they will come in handy in the future!

Homework 1: Due: Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
Create a folder called CIS 5.2 either on your home computer or on your USB drive.
Create 4 folders in
the CIS 5.2 folder, named: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Then, create a flier in Word, and save it in the folder that you called "Word."
Your flier should be a professional looking
flier, advertising a new business that you are starting. Be sure to use the following
features of Word: clipart or picture, at least 2 different fonts and styles, alignment, bullets.
Email the homework as described above.
For the first homework, in the body of the email,
you should type the exact pathname of your file. Recall that the pathname is also called
"breadcrumbs" and it appears in the address bar of the folder window.
