Authentication: Something One Is

The authentication category of 'something that one is', as y'all noticed correctly, is about a unique bodily trait of a person, the best example of which is biometrics.

Biometrics, which means 'measurement of physical traits', uses unique physical characteristics of the individual for identification and authentication.

To pass authentication, the collected biometric information must match the existing data in a biometric database.

Advantage: It is more reliable for identifying individuals compared to passwords, which can be forgotten or cracked.

Examples: fingerprints, hand or finger geometry, eye (retina) scan, iris recognition, vein recognition, voice recognition, handwriting, typing style, facial recognition, DNA matching, and many more!
