| Zero-Day Bomb | Malware that quietly and secretly exists on a device. |
| Dropper | Malware that delivers ('drops') other malware. |
| Browser Hijacker | Malware taking control of the browser application. |
| Tool or Toolkit | Software that tests for the existence of vulnerabilities in a system. |
| Scareware or Hoax | False warning of malware to scare or to abuse a user financially. |
