This course requires department approval for permission to the course. Begin your request by filling out the online form linked above.
Please be advised that permission is granted
only to graduating seniors with supervised projects in their final semester.
Supervised project means having both a project and supervisor. Please see the Resources page for characteristics of an appropriate project and supervisor.
All sections are treated as one large cohort, sections will be randomly assigned. Group projects (maximum 5 members) can be composed of members enrolled in any section.
Please be patient while waiting for your permission request to be reviewed, the schedule for when you can expect to be notified is shown below.
When permission is granted, you'll be given notice that you can register via CUNYFirst.
Deadlines for submitting
Summer 2025 (session 1) begins May 27, 2025. Requests for Summer session 1 Enrollment will be reviewed in waves:

Any permission requests for Summer 2025, session 1 submitted after 5/1/2025 are not guaranteed to be accepted.
*Please note that Summer Session is a 5 week course, so summer enrollment is limited to those who already have a project and can devote full-time to their project (i.e. 40-45hrs/week).
Summer 2025 (session 2) begins July 14, 2025. Requests for Summer session 2 Enrollment will be reviewed in waves:

*Please note that approval priority is granted to those with a supervised project. If you have not found a project by the review date of the wave you've submitted, please re-submit the form when you find a supervised project.
